
matt and carrie embry
matt serves as the lead planter. his responsibilities are worship and administration. he graduated with a degree in music and has been involved in vocational ministry since 2003. he has served in churches across illinois and missouri before coming back to his hometown.
carrie is also originally from highland. she has a degree in elementary education and has taught in schools across the bi-state area. she is a full-time mom raising their two daughters, addie and ella. together, they share a desire to see the
unchurched people in and around
Highland come to have a relationship with Jesus Christ! they’re super excited, because planting a church in this community has been a shared desire, even before their 8 years of marriage!


eddie and pam pullen
eddie serves as the teaching pastor at mosaic. he has over 20 years pastoral experience, which includes multiple church plants. he is on staff with the illinois baptist state
association as the director of next generation ministries (i.e. church planting) and has a huge heart for seeing people come to Christ! pam, just like her husband, hails from eastern tennessee, not that you could tell by their accents! she holds a degree in hotel & restaurant management. pam home-schools their two sons, jacob and isaac and loves to ride on the back of eddie’s harley davidson...when he’s going slow! the pullens are avid cardinal fans and love hanging out with people at the local eating establishments. eddie and pam are about to celebrate 18 years of marriage and are excited that God has allowed them to be a part of this new community!
